Dan Illouz is a Canadian-born Israeli politician currently serving as a member of the Knesset for the Likud party. After moving to Israel from Montreal in 2009, he served on the Jerusalem City Council from 2018 to 2021 and worked with the Kohelet Policy Forum. Since entering the Knesset in 2023, he has gained attention for his principled stance on military service legislation, including his opposition to government subsidies for Haredi yeshiva students who do not perform military service.
