Daniel Lilayu Vivanco is a Chilean politician and medical surgeon currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile for District No. 25. Born in Copiapó, he pursued a distinguished medical career, serving as head of the emergency and surgery departments at Hospital Base Osorno and attaining the rank of Colonel in the Carabineros de Chile Medical Corps. Before his election to the Chamber of Deputies in 2021, he served as a municipal councillor in Osorno and as the Provincial Governor of Osorno from 2018 to 2020. A member of the Independent Democratic Union, he focuses his legislative work on public health issues, including addressing hospital waiting lists and psychiatric care resources.
