Daniel Linklater is an Australian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Wentworth Shire Council. A fourth-generation Mallee farmer, he is a lifelong resident of the cross-border region and remains committed to sustainable agricultural practices. After studying commerce at university and working in Adelaide and Melbourne, he returned to his family's farming operation in Gol Gol in 2008. First elected as a councillor in 2021, he assumed the role of Mayor in 2023 and was re-elected to the council in 2024. Linklater is a strong advocate for local industry, regional growth, and the visitor economy.
