Greg Whiteley is an American film director, producer, and writer best known for his work on acclaimed documentary series such as Last Chance U, Cheer, and Wrestlers. Born in Provo, Utah, in 1969, he attended Brigham Young University and the Art Center College of Design before establishing a successful career in documentary filmmaking. His notable films include New York Doll, Mitt, and Most Likely to Succeed. Throughout his career, Whiteley has received multiple Emmy Awards and IDA awards for his contributions to non-fiction storytelling. He currently resides in Laguna Beach, California, with his family.
