Anthony Carbines is an Australian politician serving as a member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly for the electoral district of Ivanhoe. Since June 2022, he has held the positions of Minister for Police, Minister for Crime Prevention, and Minister for Racing. Previously, he served as the Minister for Disability, Ageing and Carers and the Minister for Child Protection and Family Services. Before his parliamentary career, Carbines worked as a journalist for the Geelong Advertiser and served as a councillor on the City of Banyule council. He also held the role of chief-of-staff to former Minister for Education Bronwyn Pike.
