Peter Primrose is an Australian politician who has served as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council since 1996. A member of the Labor Party, he previously represented the seat of Camden in the Legislative Assembly from 1988 to 1991. Throughout his extensive parliamentary career, Primrose has held various ministerial and shadow ministerial portfolios, including serving as the President of the Legislative Council from 2007 to 2009, and as Minister for Disability Services and Minister for Youth. Before entering state politics, he worked as a social worker and served on the Campbelltown City Council, including a term as Mayor. He is currently the longest-serving member of the Parliament of New South Wales.
