Daniel Norber is an American politician currently serving as a member of the New York State Assembly for the 16th district. Born in the United States and raised in Israel, he is a veteran of the Israel Defense Forces, where he served as a staff sergeant in the military police. Norber made political history in 2024 by becoming the first Republican in over half a century to win an Assembly seat in the Town of North Hempstead. He holds a bachelor’s degree in government, diplomacy, and strategy from Reichman University and resides in Great Neck, New York.
