Daniel Alan Webster is an American politician and businessman currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 11th congressional district, a position he has held since 2017. Before his tenure in the U.S. House, which began in 2011, he served for 28 years in the Florida legislature, becoming the first Republican Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives since Reconstruction. An electrical engineer by training, Webster is a staunch advocate for homeschooling and conservative social policies, including traditional marriage and restrictive abortion legislation. He is recognized as the longest-serving legislator in Florida history and continues to represent his constituents in Washington, D.C.
