Danny O'Brien

Danny O'Brien is an Australian politician serving as the Member for Gippsland South in the Victorian Legislative Assembly. Since November 2024, he has served as the leader of the Victorian National Party. Before entering parliament, O'Brien worked as a journalist and held various senior advisory roles, including chief of staff to Peter Ryan and Barnaby Joyce, as well as working in the trade department of the Australian Embassy in Jakarta. He was first appointed to the Victorian Legislative Council in 2014 before winning his lower house seat in a 2015 by-election.
