Darya Farivar

Darya Farivar is an American politician serving as a member of the Washington House of Representatives for the 46th district. Born in Seattle to Iranian immigrant parents, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communicative disorders from the University of Redlands in 2016. Before her election in 2022, she worked as an advocacy program coordinator for Open Doors for Multicultural Families and as the director of public policy for Disability Rights Washington. In office, she has focused on juvenile justice reform, including efforts to eliminate legal financial obligations in juvenile courts.
