David Barratt is a Scottish politician serving as the Member of the Scottish Parliament for Cowdenbeath since May 2026. Before his election to the Scottish Parliament, he served as a councillor for the Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay ward on Fife Council, having been elected to that position in 2017 and re-elected in 2022. As a member of the Scottish National Party, he was selected to succeed Annabelle Ewing in the Cowdenbeath constituency during the 2026 Scottish Parliament election.
