David Blom

David Blom is an American politician serving as a Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives for the 52nd district. Elected in 2025, he flipped a seat that had been held by Democrats for 24 years by defeating incumbent Sue Cahill. Prior to his legislative career, Blom worked as a union sheet metal worker at Raymon Enterprises. In the Iowa House, he serves on the Appropriations, Local Government, and Veterans Affairs committees, and holds the position of vice chair of the Commerce Committee.
