David Chan is a Canadian politician who has served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan for the constituency of Yorkton since the 2024 general election. A member of the Saskatchewan Party, he made history as the first Chinese-Canadian elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature. Prior to his political career, Chan worked as a mental health councillor for various Indigenous communities and held roles in project management and faculty positions at Thompson Rivers University and Royal Roads University. His background also includes extensive volunteer work, such as tutoring Indigenous youth, coaching basketball, and serving as a residential care worker.
