David Orentlicher

David Orentlicher is an American politician, physician, attorney, and educator currently serving as a member of the Nevada Assembly for District 20. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served in the Indiana House of Representatives from 2002 to 2008. Orentlicher holds a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and a medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He is a professor at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law, where he directs the Health Law Program. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent voice in medical ethics, having drafted the American Medical Association's first Patients' Bill of Rights and contributing to federal health policy standards.
