David Watts, Baron Watts

David Leonard Watts, Baron Watts is a British politician and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2015. Previously, he was the Labour Member of Parliament for St Helens North from 1997 to 2015, during which time he served in the Blair and Brown governments as a Lord Commissioner of the Treasury and chaired the Parliamentary Labour Party. Before entering national politics, he was a union official and leader of the St Helens Metropolitan Borough Council. He is known for his association with Labour Friends of Israel.
