David Wittner

David Wittner is a German politician serving as the Lord Mayor of Nördlingen since May 2020. Born in Nördlingen in 1982, he studied tourism management at the University of Applied Sciences Kempten before working as the head of the local tourist information office in his hometown from 2010 to 2020. Wittner, who is non-partisan, was elected to his current position in 2020 and re-elected in 2026. In addition to his mayoral duties, he serves as a member of the Donau-Ries district council and is an active marathon runner and UEFA B-level football coach.
