Davor Ivo Stier is a Croatian-Argentine politician and diplomat currently serving as a Member of the European Parliament since 2024. Born in Buenos Aires to a Croatian expatriate family, he returned to Croatia in the 1990s and built a career in foreign policy, serving as a foreign policy adviser to Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and later as the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia from 2016 to 2017. A prominent member of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Stier has been a long-time advocate for the rights of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina and has held multiple terms in the Croatian Parliament.
