Dean Arp

Larry Dean Arp, Jr. is an American politician serving as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing the 69th district since 2013. A professional engineer by trade, he holds degrees from The Citadel and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and serves as the president of Arp Engineering. Throughout his legislative career, he has held significant leadership roles, including Senior Chair of the Appropriations Committee and Chair of the Energy and Public Utilities Committee. In 2025, he gained national recognition for rescuing an elderly resident from a burning home in Richmond County.
