Marcia Morey is an American politician, former judge, and former Olympic swimmer who has served as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives for the 30th district since 2017. Before entering the legislature, she had a distinguished career in the judiciary, serving as a district court judge for 18 years and as Chief District Court Judge of the 14th Judicial District for five years. Morey is widely recognized for her advocacy in juvenile justice reform, including the creation of the Misdemeanor Diversion Program. As a member of the Progressive House Caucus, she is one of the openly LGBT members of the North Carolina General Assembly.
