Dele Alake is a Nigerian journalist, activist, and politician serving as the Minister of Solid Minerals Development under President Bola Tinubu since August 2023. He previously served as the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy from 1999 to 2007 and was a prominent pro-democracy activist during the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) era following the annulment of the 1993 presidential election. His career spans extensive work in print and broadcast journalism, including serving as editor of the National Concord and Sunday Concord newspapers.
