Previously, she served as the Minister of Finance and Economy from 2021 to 2023. Before entering high-level government office, Ibrahimaj held various roles in the public and private sectors, including serving as the Director General of Taxation and working as an economist at the Bank of Albania. She holds degrees in finance and economic management from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and Luigi Bocconi University.
