Denise Joy is an American politician serving as a member of the Montana House of Representatives for the 46th district since 2025. She was selected by the Yellowstone County Commission to fill the vacancy created when Emma Kerr-Carpenter moved to the state Senate. Prior to her legislative service, Joy served on the Billings City Council, where she gained recognition as the first member of the Democratic Socialists of America to be elected to public office in Montana. Outside of her political career, she works as a special needs assistant for Billings Public Schools.
