Desiree Tims is an American politician serving as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 38th district, having assumed office in January 2025. A native of Dayton, Ohio, she previously served as the President & CEO of the progressive think tank Innovation Ohio and held various roles in public service, including as an aide to U.S. Senators Sherrod Brown and Kirsten Gillibrand. Tims, who holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University, previously ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020. In the Ohio legislature, she serves as the Ranking Member on the House Insurance Committee.
