Dette Escudero

Marie Bernadette Guevara Escudero is a Filipino politician serving as the representative for Sorsogon's 1st congressional district in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 2022. A member of the Nationalist People's Coalition, she was appointed as a deputy majority leader in 2025. Escudero has focused her legislative work on infrastructure, agrarian reform, disaster-resilient building standards, and expanding benefits for senior citizens and barangay health workers. She is part of the prominent Escudero political family and holds a degree in business administration from the University of the East.
