Diganta Kalita

Diganta Kalita is an Indian politician serving as a second-term member of the Assam Legislative Assembly, representing the Kamalpur constituency as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Born in January 1969, he initially began his political career with the Indian National Congress during his college years and served as a state secretary of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee before resigning in 2014 and joining the BJP in 2015. He subsequently won election to the Assam assembly in 2021, defeating his opponent from the Indian National Congress.
