Dilan Yeşilgöz

Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius is a Dutch politician serving as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands and Minister of Defence since 2026. Born in Turkey and migrating to the Netherlands as a child, she began her political career in left-wing parties before joining the liberal People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). She previously served as Minister of Justice and Security and as a member of the House of Representatives. Known for her focus on security, immigration control, and liberal economic policies, she has led the VVD since 2023.
