Dimal Basha is a Kosovan politician and analyst who currently serves as the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, having been elected to the position on August 26, 2025. Born in Ferizaj in 1979, he holds degrees in International Criminal Law from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and International Relations from The New School in New York. Before his political career, Basha worked in the office of U.S. Congressman Eliot Engel and as a data analyst in the United States. A long-time member of the Vetëvendosje party, he previously served three terms as a Member of the Assembly, where he held seats on several key parliamentary committees, including those focused on foreign affairs, legislation, and intelligence oversight.
