Dimitar Apasiev is a Macedonian politician, legal scholar, and professor of law at Goce Delčev University of Štip. He is the founder and leader of the political party The Left (Levica), which he established in 2015 to consolidate various leftist movements in North Macedonia. Apasiev was first elected to the Assembly of North Macedonia in 2020. An expert in Roman law, he has authored numerous books and academic articles, and has served as a legal consultant for various state bodies, trade unions, and civil society organizations. His political career has been marked by his vocal opposition to the Prespa Agreement and his advocacy for far-left policies.
