Dita Angara-Mathay

Maria Bernardita Angara-Mathay is a Filipino diplomat currently serving as the Secretary of Tourism, a position she has held since April 2026. Before her appointment to the cabinet by President Bongbong Marcos, she was a longtime member of the Foreign Trade Service Corps under the Department of Trade and Industry. During her tenure as a commercial counselor and senior special trade representative in Tokyo, she was credited with securing significant foreign investments for the Philippines. Her current mandate focuses on leveraging tourism as a primary driver for job creation, business growth, and regional development across the country.
