Dotie Joseph

Dotie Joseph is an American politician serving as a member of the Florida House of Representatives for the 108th district. Born in Haiti and raised in Florida, she is an attorney by profession, specializing in government and business law. First elected to the state legislature in 2018, Joseph made history in 2022 by becoming the first Haitian-American to serve as Minority Leader Pro Tempore in a U.S. state or federal legislative body. She is recognized for her focus on civic engagement and democratic processes, and in 2024, she was selected for the Future Caucus Innovation Fellowship.
