Doug Shipley is a Canadian politician serving as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Barrie—Springwater—Oro-Medonte. First elected in the 2019 federal election, he has since been re-elected to represent his constituency. Prior to his federal career, Shipley served as a city councillor for Barrie from 2010 to 2019, where he held various committee leadership roles. Within the Conservative Party, he has served as an Associate Shadow Minister for Public Safety and as Vice Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.
