Drew Hansen

Drew Hansen is an American politician, lawyer, and author serving as a member of the Washington State Senate for the 23rd Legislative District since 2023. Previously, he served in the Washington House of Representatives from 2011 to 2023, where he chaired the Higher Education and Civil Rights and Judiciary committees. A Rhodes Scholar and Yale Law School graduate, Hansen has focused his legislative career on education reform, including the Workforce Education Investment Act, and technology policy, such as net neutrality and computer science education. He is also a published author and has maintained a legal practice representing cities and victims of financial fraud.
