Ed Neilson is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 174th District. A native of Northeast Philadelphia, Neilson previously served as an at-large member of the Philadelphia City Council and held the 169th District seat in the Pennsylvania House. Before his legislative career, he worked as a political director for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 98 and served as the Executive Deputy State Labor Secretary under Governor Ed Rendell. He is a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and attended the Comey Institute at St. Joseph's University.
