James Edward Dempsey II, known as Eddy Dempsey, is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives for the 1st district. A native of Valliant, Oklahoma, he was elected to the state legislature in November 2020 and assumed office in January 2021. Prior to his legislative career, Dempsey worked as an I&E technician, pipe-fitter, and gas and chemical technician, and served as a field representative for Congressman Markwayne Mullin from 2013 to 2019. He also manages a small farm in his home community.
