Edinho Araújo is a Brazilian politician currently serving as the mayor of São José do Rio Preto. Born Edson Coelho Araújo in 1949, he has had a long career in public service, including multiple terms as a federal deputy representing São Paulo and as the mayor of Santa Fé do Sul. Throughout his career, he has been involved in significant legislative actions, including voting in favor of the 2017 Brazilian labor reform and the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff. Araújo is a member of the Presbyterian Church and has previously been affiliated with the MDB party before joining the Democratic Renewal Party.
