A member of the National Democratic Congress, she previously served as the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts from 2013 to 2017, where she was instrumental in passing the Film Bill and promoting domestic tourism through the Explore Ghana project. She has also been appointed as the Minister for Trade, Industry and Agribusiness.
