Emilia Schneider is a Chilean politician and activist who made history as the first openly transgender person elected to the Chamber of Deputies of Chile. Born in Santiago, she rose to prominence as a student leader, serving as the first transgender president of the Federation of Students of the University of Chile (FECH) in 2019. A law graduate from the University of Chile, Schneider has been a vocal advocate for feminist and LGBTQ+ rights. She currently represents District No. 10 in the Santiago Metropolitan Region for the 2022–2026 legislative term.
