Enrique Bassaletti

Enrique Bassaletti Riess is a Chilean politician and former military officer serving as a deputy for District 8 since 2026. Prior to his legislative career, he served as a General in the Carabineros de Chile, where he acted as Chief of the Eastern Metropolitan Zone from 2018 to 2021. Following his retirement from the police force, he worked in municipal security and became a prominent political figure, notably running for mayor of Maipú in 2024. He is affiliated with the Republican Party and focuses his political platform on public security, border control, and municipal management.
