Eom Seung-yong is a South Korean politician and former career civil servant currently serving as the Mayor of Boryeong. Born in 1957, he passed the 33rd Higher Civil Service Examination in 1989 and held various high-ranking positions within the Cultural Heritage Administration, including Director-General of Cultural Heritage Policy. After unsuccessful bids for the National Assembly and the mayoralty in 2012 and 2014, he was elected as the Mayor of Boryeong in 2026 as a candidate for the People Power Party.
