Erik Tomáš is a Slovak politician and former television presenter who has served as the Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Family of Slovakia since October 2023. Born in Humenné, he began his career in media, working for Regina Radio and TV Markíza before transitioning into politics in 2006. He served as a spokesperson for various government officials and the Smer party before being elected to the National Council of Slovakia in 2016. After initially being a prominent figure within Smer, he joined Peter Pellegrini in founding the Voice – Social Democracy party in 2020.
