Evangelos Apostolakis

Evangelos Apostolakis is a Greek politician and retired Admiral who currently serves as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament. Born in Rethymno in 1957, he had a distinguished career in the Hellenic Navy, serving as Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff from 2013 to 2015 and as Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff until 2019. He also served as the Minister of National Defence of Greece in 2019. Originally elected to parliament on the Syriza party list, he became an independent member in November 2024.
