江崎禎英

Yoshihide Esaki is the Governor of Gifu Prefecture, having been elected to the position in January 2025. A former career bureaucrat, he served in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, where he worked on energy policy, healthcare industry development, and COVID-19 countermeasures. Esaki holds a degree in international relations from the University of Tokyo and has studied at the University of Sussex. He is a proponent of adapting economic and social systems to the '100-year life' era and is a practitioner of Aikido, holding a sixth-dan rank.
