Prior to his ministerial appointment, he held various senior roles in the Saudi government, including Undersecretary for Consumer Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and advisor to the Minister of Commerce. He has also served on the boards of several major organizations, including the Saudi Airlines and the Health Insurance Council.
