Khalid bin Salman Al Saud is a Saudi Arabian politician and diplomat who has served as the Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia since September 2022. A member of the House of Saud and son of King Salman, he previously served as the Saudi Ambassador to the United States from 2017 to 2019 and as Deputy Minister of Defense. Before his diplomatic and ministerial career, he was a pilot in the Royal Saudi Air Force, participating in missions over Yemen and against the Islamic State. He holds a bachelor's degree in Aviation Sciences from the King Faisal Air Academy and has completed executive security programs at Harvard University.
