Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah

Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah is a Kuwaiti politician and former military officer who served as the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior from January 2024 to February 2025. A former Colonel in the Kuwaiti Army's Amiri Guard, he gained prominence for his role in protecting the country's leadership during the 1990 Iraqi invasion. During his tenure as a government minister, he initiated a controversial campaign to revoke the citizenship of thousands of Kuwaiti nationals, a policy that drew significant domestic and international criticism for its impact on women and social cohesion.
