Fatma Aksal is a Turkish economist and politician currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for Edirne, representing the Justice and Development Party. She holds a degree in economics from Ankara University, a master's degree from the University of Michigan, and a doctorate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Before her parliamentary career, she taught macroeconomics and microeconomics at Virginia Tech and worked in the dairy industry. In parliament, she has served on various committees, including the Committee on Equal Opportunity for Women and Men and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
