Hasan Ufuk Çakır

Hasan Ufuk Çakır is a Turkish politician and businessperson currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey representing Mersin. Born in 1963 in Mersin, he previously worked as a branch manager for the Mediterranean Exporters' Associations under the Undersecretariat of Treasury and Foreign Trade from 1997 to 2004. Initially elected as a member of the Republican People's Party (CHP), he resigned from the party in December 2025 and subsequently joined the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in January 2026. He is a member of the Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs. He is married and a father of two children.
