Fernando Mercado Guaida

Fernando Mercado Guaida is a Mexican politician currently serving as the Mayor of La Magdalena Contreras, a position he assumed on October 1, 2024. A member of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), he previously served as a deputy in the Mexico City Congress and as the head of the La Magdalena Contreras borough from 2015 to 2018. Throughout his career, he has held various administrative roles, including Director General of the Fund for Economic and Social Development of Mexico City. Mercado Guaida holds a law degree from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) and a master's degree in Public Management.
