Adán Augusto López Hernández

Adán Augusto López Hernández is a Mexican politician, lawyer, and notary public currently serving as a Senator of the Republic. A prominent member of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), he previously served as the Secretary of the Interior under President Andrés Manuel López Obrador from 2021 to 2023 and as the Governor of Tabasco from 2019 to 2021. Throughout his career, he has held various legislative roles, including terms in the Tabasco State Congress and the federal Chamber of Deputies. Educated in law at the Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco and the University of Paris II, he has faced recent scrutiny regarding his past administration in Tabasco and allegations of financial irregularities, which he has publicly denied.
