An agronomist by training with advanced degrees in public administration and political science, he has held various public offices throughout his career, including serving as the municipal president of Ahualulco de Mercado and as a delegate for the Secretariat of Agriculture (SAGARPA). Previously affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), he transitioned to the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) and was elected to the 66th Congress in 2024.
